Organizations have information needs that
cannot always be satisfied by a software product in the
marketplace. Providing unique and specialized products or
services is one way an organization can gain an advantage over
competitors. An organization may be created to fill a void
in the marketplace. A manual business system may no longer be
affordable when compared to a computer automated system. In many
cases, software to run the business
may not be available.

AlgoSol recently developed a specialized
ECommerce System for Easter Seals that enables consumers and
telemarketers to use an on line ordering system to place orders
for Holiday Cards. VeriSign's PayFlowPro credit card
authorization system, PERL and SQL/ODBC were used to implement
the system. The order fulfillment company downloaded an order
file daily into their order
fulfillment system using a custom developed Perl Script.
|
We also recently developed a Job Opportunity System. The system
provides a data entry screen accessible over the Internet so
that approximately 450 different geographical sites can use the
system. People interested in the job opportunities can fill out
an on line form requesting additional information. Email is
automatically generated to the site contact point and a
corporate office for coordinating the information flow.

AlgoSol is currently developing a voting system that uses
HandSpring Visor Prism PDAs and WLAN (802.11b) Technology.
A
secured web site will host the Voting System with proposed
resolutions available to the commissioners. An SQL Database will store all the
results of the voting. The public will be able to view the
resolution as soon as the vote is closed in accordance with
state law.
